Ravenna, the city of mosaics boasting Unesco-declared world heritage sites, is full of art and culture and is only 12kms far away from us: by bike (cycling track) or by bus. Valuable collections and cultural initiatives are ordinarily held at the museums, the Classense Library, the public gardens and the Planetarium and the Brancaleone Fortress. The charming “silence area” in the old town centre houses the tomb of the Supreme Poet whom special initiatives are yearly dedicated to. One-hour driving upwards, beyond Faenza, towards the gentle hills of the Apennines, you can find the enchanting Brisighella. Enjoy the charm of the alleys of this medieval village, the several sacred buildings and the three hills that make the landscape so peculiar and fascinating: the Manfrediana fortress, the Monticino Sanctuary and the Clock Tower. Only 28kms far away from our hotel, along the State Road nr. 16, you can visit the “Casa delle Farfalle” (House of Butterflies), walking among dozens of different kinds of butterflies in shape and color; or you can also see the “Natural Park” with the typical local flora and fauna.
